چکیده

The advent of distributed energy resources (DERs), such as renewables, storage, electric vehicles, and controllable loads, \rv{brings} a significantly disruptive transformational impact on the centralized power system. It is widely accepted that paradigm shift to decentralized system with bidirectional flow necessary integration DERs. virtual plant (VPP) emerges promising for managing DERs participate in In this paper, we develop blockchain-based VPP management platform facilitate rich set transactive activities among residential users flexible loads VPP. Specifically, can interact each other trade mutual benefits provide network services, feed-in energy, reserve, demand response, through To respect users' independence preserve their privacy, design optimization algorithm optimize scheduling, trading, services. Then prototype blockchain implement proposed network. By experiments using real-world data-trace, validated feasibility effectiveness our simulation results demonstrate reduces cost by up 38.6% overall 11.2%.

Energy management of virtual power plant to participate in the electricity market using robust optimization

Virtual power plant (VPP) can be studied to investigate how energy is purchased or sold in the presence of electricity market price uncertainty. The VPP uses different intermittent distributed sources such as wind turbine, flexible loads, and locational marginal prices (LMPs) in order to obtain profit. VPP should propose bidding/offering curves to buy/sell from/to day-ahead market. In this pape...

Cooperatives of distributed energy resources for efficient virtual power plants

The creation of Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) has been suggested in recent years as the means for achieving the cost-efficient integration of the many distributed energy resources (DERs) that are starting to emerge in the electricity network. In this work, we contribute to the development of VPPs by offering a game-theoretic perspective to the problem. Specifically, we design cooperatives (or “co...

A New Procedure for Reactive Power Market Clearing Considering Distributed Energy Resources

Traditionally, conventional generation unit was used to provide ancillary services e.g. reactive power support, and spinning reserve. Nonetheless, with the emergence of highly penetrated distributed energy resources (DERs) systems and considering how beneficial they can be; it appears reasonable to use them as reactive power providers. Therefore, this paper introduces a new procedure for DERs t...

An Online Q-learning Based Multi-Agent LFC for a Multi-Area Multi-Source Power System Including Distributed Energy Resources

This paper presents an online two-stage Q-learning based multi-agent (MA) controller for load frequency control (LFC) in an interconnected multi-area multi-source power system integrated with distributed energy resources (DERs). The proposed control strategy consists of two stages. The first stage is employed a PID controller which its parameters are designed using sine cosine optimization (SCO...

Coordinated resource scheduling in a large scale virtual power plant considering demand response and energy storages

Virtual power plant (VPP) is an effective approach to aggregate distributed generation resources under a central control. This paper introduces a mixed-integer linear programming model for optimal scheduling of the internal resources of a large scale VPP in order to maximize its profit. The proposed model studies the effect of a demand response (DR) program on the scheduling of the VPP. The pro...
